Biennial U.S. Drought Monitor Forum
The biennial U.S. Drought Monitor Forum will take place on September 17-19, 2019 at Western Kentucky University’s Knicely Center. NOAA’s National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center (CPC) & National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service’s National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) are partnering with the Kentucky Climate Center (at Western Kentucky University) and the Kentucky Division of Water to host the Forum.

- Registration is free and limited to first 100 attendees. If you registered for the initial mid-March Forum, you must re-register as all previous entrees have been erased.
- There are no plans to reserve a block of rooms as there are no concerns with affordable availability. The closest hotel to the Knicely Center (walkable) is Staybridge Suites, Bowling Green. There are many other hotels nearby (listed in the NDMC Registration link above), but they are several miles from the Knicely Center.
- For those not driving, Bowling Green does not have a major airport. The two closest major airports are: 1) Nashville, 70 minutes away; 2) Louisville, 1 hour and 45 minutes away, so a rental car would also be needed.
Please contact Richard.Heim@noaa.gov or David.Miskus@noaa.gov if you have specific questions about the USDM Forum.
