Montana Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate Outreach and Conference
This project focused on development and distribution of outreach educational materials on drought and human health. The Montana Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate rotated some of the materials around hospitals, health departments, and clinician offices. They also packaged and delivered educational packets, posters, and flyers to the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and Montana Department of Natural Resources (DNRC). Efforts to further address drought and public health were aided by support for inviting public health figure, Jesse Bell, as a speaker at the annual Climate and Health conference in Billings, Montana. These efforts will help bring awareness to the important impacts of drought on human health across Montana.
