Oregon Water Supply Availability Committee and Drought Readiness Council

The Oregon Water Supply Availability Committee, chaired by the Oregon Water Resources Department, provides the scientific foundation that decision-makers need to identify and respond appropriately to drought. The Oregon Drought Readiness Council, co-chaired by the Oregon Water Resources Department and Oregon Office of Emergency Management, reviews local requests for assistance and makes recommendations to the governor regarding the need for state drought declarations.
