Wyoming Condition Monitoring

Project Status
Ongoing

The project aims to ensure that conditions (too wet, near normal, too dry) throughout the state of Wyoming, and associated impacts to all sectors, are accurately captured and communicated year-round. The team will create an efficient and sustainable condition reporting network that gathers/encourages input from those who work in the field.

Project partners: Wyoming State Climate Office; Wyoming State Engineer's Office; Wyoming Department of Agriculture; Wyoming Office of Homeland Security; Wyoming Water Development Office; Wyoming Governor's Office; Office of the Tribal Water Engineer for the Eastern Shoshone & Northern Arapaho Tribes; University of Wyoming Extension; NOAA National Weather Service; NOAA National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS); NOAA National Climate Data Cente: North Central Region; Western Water Assessment (WWA, a NOAA RISA Team); National Drought Mitigation Center; USDA Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Agricultural Research Service, and Northern Plains Climate Hub.
