- Continuing improvements in northern Maine where Abnormally Dry (D0) conditions eased.
- Southern and coastal Maine continued to be impacted by Extreme Drought (D3) and Severe Drought (D2).
- Groundwater and soil moisture reports continued to support Extreme Drought (D3) status in southern New Hampshire.
- Southeast New England (including the Cape and Islands) retained some Severe Drought (D2) characteristics.
- Status quo in much of New York with minor improvements in western New York near the Pennsylvania border.

Indoor and outdoor water conservation is still encouraged in New Hampshire.
Outlooks
- The 8-14 day maps indicate above-normal temperatures for most of Maine into northern New Hampshire and Vermont and normal temperatures for the rest of the Northeast. Below-normal precipitation is predicted for all of the Northeast.
- The 3-4 week outlook favors above-normal temperatures for the Northeast and above-normal precipitation for the region except western New York, where equal chances for above- or below-normal precipitation is favored.

NIDIS and its partners will issue future Drought Early Warning Updates as conditions evolve.
