Wyoming Conditions and Outlooks Webinar
The Wyoming Conditions & Monitoring Team and partners hosted the Wyoming Conditions & Outlooks public webinar on Thursday, September 15 from 1–2 p.m. MT. The webinar began with a 45-minute presentation by several climate, water, weather, and wildland fire experts, followed by a Q&A session.
This webinar included information about a potential La Niña three-peat—and what it could mean for Wyoming. Additionally, presenters outlined current conditions throughout Wyoming, such as soil moisture and streamflows, to help participants understand why the U.S. Drought Monitor currently appears the way it does. A team member with the State Engineers Office then provided an update about water calls throughout the state. The National Weather Service also provided a more near-term forecast.
