Southern Plains Climate and Drought Webinar: April 2025

Drought is a common occurrence in the Southern Plains and costs farmers, ranchers, and communities millions of dollars. Knowing where drought is now and where it might form in the upcoming season can help you be prepared and resilient to potential drought impacts. This webinar will focus on the current conditions and look ahead at precipitation and temperatures outlooks for the coming season. It will also feature a presentation on a special topic relevant to preparing for drought in the region.
This webinar is hosted by NOAA's National Integrated Drought Information System Southern Plains Drought Early Warning System in partnership with the National Weather Service (NWS) and NWS Climate Prediction Center.
